I am new to this.

I am trying to create a workflow that will add journal lines in business central journal template "TEST". I am using workflowendpoint for that in API Category.

The error says that Name='' is empty value thus cannot find a Journal Template for that value.

However, in the power automate flow there is no field named "Name"

The only reference to the Journal Batch Name is Journal Batch ID, which I have given.

Anyone can help?

Where can I add a template name to let the flow know which template do I want to send the values to????

Hi,

If you go to Inspect page data of General Journal page you will find there are two different fields available to provide the template and batch name, you have provide those fields into your powerapp, see the image.

Thanks for your reply. I am using power automate. I do have the values for Journal template name and batch id. My original query is that power automate flow item "update record" for BC using workflowendpoint as API, is not giving me a field value to enter a journal name or batch name. But, when failing the error states missing batch name.

I am wondering how or where can I give the value for journal name or batch name is the flow does not have an input field for it?

Hi,

Those are normal fields, it must be visible like other fields you are using, and those are mandatory to give. Can you please check how you are getting other fields in the same way those two fields should be available?

I had to use a work around.

I used create record (with v2.0 api) - created the record with missing dimension codes (v2.0 table "Journal Lines" is limited fields)

Then used update record (with API workflowendpoints) - to update the the record with dimension codes

It is weird that update record with API workflowendpoints does have a field to end template name, whereas add record for the same API does not.
