Allow list view of accounts but not access to them

Hi,

I think I have my head around the user roles / business units etc.

What I would like is for the sales people to be able to see other accounts not owned by them in the list (so they know which companies we are dealing with). But if they try to open the record of someone elses it denies access.

Is this possible?

Hi,

You can use a plugin for this scenario.

You should use "retrieve" message and preValidation. You will raise an exception if your condition is met.

Hi, you can use OOB feature of Access teams as defined in article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/developer/use-access-teams-owner-teams-collaborate-share-information and can easily provide the sales people access to the entity records not owned by them
