Activities checkbox greyed out

Hi there,

I have created several custom entities (defined as an activity entity).  Requirements have changed for these entities and now I would like to be able to tick the Activities checkbox under "Communication & Colloboration" but it is greyed out and won't let me tick it.  I want to take advantage of some of the features this brings.

I've googled and it seems that this must be ticked at time of entity creation.  Is there anyway I can tick this box?

If not, are there any workarounds other than to delete the entity and start again (I don't want to do this as it's a big job)

Thank you

Dave

The information you've found is correct: this setting is only available while creating the entity. Once the entity has been created, you won't be able to change it.

    Hi,

If you are comfortable in writting c# code in console application, you might be able to modify this.

Please see below docs from microsoft which has details that can be used to update entity metadata.

Thank you Nathan and Bipin for your replies.

@Bipin I tried to do this but the CRM API stops me changing the metadata with the following error:  "A custom entity defined as an activity must not have  a relationship with Activities"

As @Nathan suggested, I'll recreate the entity.  Thanks again both for your time.
