When to archive sales quotes

Good day Experts,

I was wondering whether any guru can explain when Nav decides to archive sales quotes.  Sales quotes will be archived before they are deleted. Is there any other scenario that Nav decides to archive sales quotes?  We find many sales quotes in archive which are still open/released, meanwhile we can find many other sales quotes in archive.

Your input is much appreciated.

Thank you

To Archive Sales Quote or order depends on the setup field on Sales & Receivables Setup called Archive Quotes & Orders, if that is turned, quotes are archived when you convert them to order, or by manually arhiving or when you run the sales quote or order confirmation report.

I believe in your scenario it could be they are running the order confirmation report which is triggering archive document.

There is a corresponding setup for archiving sales quotes: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh935230(v=nav.80).aspx

Remember that archived quotes also can be deleted.

As everyone mention you can check on the below link on how to set up the auto archive in the Sales & Receivables: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh935230(v=nav.80).aspx

Other than above users can manually archive the documents at anytime they want.
