Hi,
We perform a test on BC Consolidation. We started with consolidating BU1 and BU2 from 1/1/2022 to 31/1/2022. Printed the BU Consolidated Trial Balance report with date range 1/1/2022 to 31/1/2022. The report was OK.
Then, we consolidate BU1 from 1/2/2022 to 28/2/2022 where the consolidation process added a new line dated 28/2/2022. When we try to print the BU Consolidated Trial Balance with similar date range 1/1/2022 to 31/1/2022, the consolidated report includes the amount dated 28/2/2022?
We are unable to print consolidated report only for those from 1/1/2022 to 31/1/2022. Anything i had missed? Or the consolidated trial balance will include all values regardless of date range?
Appreciate all advise.

May,
Not sure I'm following your question, but the key to getting an Account Schedule that shows by Business Unit is to create a column layout where you are using the Business Unit filter to split them out. Then add a total column to get the full results. You can run the report by period or multiple periods as any other Account Schedule.
No, You should have only 1 consolidated company - no matter for how many periods.
Can You share how You are pulling in the data? In normal option You should have the NetChange for period posted with last date of the month.
Hi Amanda,
I tried both the Trial Balance reports above and both combined Period 1 and Period 2 together even though i only selected date range 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022.
If we were to design that via Account Schedule, means would be able to print by date range of 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022 and the result from Account Schedule will not combine them together?
Thanks Amanda,
May
May,
Which Report are you running?
That said, I prefer creating an Account Schedule (Financial Reporting) that gives me the data by Business Unit. Then it is dynamic and allows me to drill down into the numbers.
Hi Kaspars,
Thanks for your reply. Does it mean that i have 2 create 2 consolidate companies; 1 to consolidate for period 01/01/2022 to 31/01/2022 and create the 2nd consolidate company for period 01/02/2022 to 28/02/2022?
Currently i only have 1 Consolidated Company which i had pulled the consolidated values from BU1 and BU2 month by month which created transaction lines dated 31/1/2022 and 28/2/2022 respectively.

Normally You would have a separate consolidation company, where You pull in the balances for period 01.01.22..31.01.2022 from BU1 and BU2 and post them with 31.01.2022. (possible to split amounts on each GL also by dimensions)
After that You pull in next month 01.02.2022..28.02.2022 and post them with 28.02.2022
This way You can create reports in Consolidated company just like in each individual BU.
