Cannot configure organization on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Outlook

Hi,

I'm trying to install Dynamics CRM for Outlook on my computer. I've been able to do it before, but then CRM installation got corrupted on the server side, so I uninstalled it and started over. No biggie, it was not in use yet.

Now I'm trying to connect to this new installation (with new organization name) from Outlook and it keeps failing. Connecting with IE works perfectly and I don't have any problems with that.

Here's log from organization configuration:

Oh and as extra info: emails I have previously tagged to CRM have that CRM icon instead of the open/closed envelope. Don't know if that matters, but it still seems as if the old CRM is still somehow connected to Outlook.

I even tried to create different profile to Outlook and that didn't help.

I solved the problem. The problem was insufficient rights for four users related to CRM installation. I didn't know the right settings, so I decided to uninstall CRM and re-install it with NETWORK-something users. Now it's working very well.

Could you give some detail of the insufficient rights for users? Did you mean the CRM security role permissions or AD permissions? I have the same error log as yours, I'm stuck there and spent a lot of time trying everything now...

On installation CRM asks for four accounts for four services:

    • Application Service
    • Deployment Web Service
    • Sandbox Processing Service
    • Asynchronous Processing Service

At first I created accounts for these, but run into problems. I solved the problems by using these accounts:

    • Application Service: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
    • Deployment Web Service: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
    • Sandbox Processing Service: MYDOMAIN\CRMSANDBOX
    • Asynchronous Processing Service: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE

Account MYDOMAIN\CRMSANDBOX is member of Domain Users.

Easiest fix would probably be fix installation from Programs and Features with those accounts.
