Hi,

I am trying to setup development environment for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (v 9.x) project in Visual Studio Professional 2017/2019.

I have explored Dynamics 365 Developer Toolkit and it didn't worked for me (I have installed latest version of D365 developer toolkit in VS2017 and VS2019. My visual studio instance is crashes while updating CRM SDK path under Tools menu)

https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=DynamicsCRMPG.MicrosoftDynamicsCRMDeveloperToolkit&ssr=false#review-details

What i am looking for is to Setup D365 solution project in visual studio and publish package/solution containing plugins, Web Resources directly from Visual Studio.

I have googled a lot to achieve this but could not find any working solution with current version of Dynamics 365.

Please share information on this topic, it will help me setting up my development environment.

Thank you.

    Hello Paresh,

Dynamics 365 Developer Toolkit officially only supports until Visual Studio 2015.

Try to follow this community article: community.dynamics.com/.../setting-up-developer-toolkit-for-vs2019-with-core-assemblies-9-0

The objective is to register plugins, but it also is to make Developer Toolkit works on Visual Studio 2019.

It might help you as well.
