StringEdit for a MultiSelect Lookup

Hi,

I have a StringEdit control on a form for which I have customized a multiselect lookup. Upon selecting multiple values, I am able to see all the values in the stringEdit control but only 10 characters of that flow into the code. I understand - this is because of the string size of the StringEdit control. Is ther any way by which I can increase the string size of the control?

Have tried assigning a bigger string size EDT to the control but does not work.

Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,

Prakash Srinivasan

    Hi Tatiana,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Below are the screen shots of my issue:

The customized multiselect Lookup from which I select the Store IDs:

    values.PNG

The values displayed in the String Edit:

    values.PNG

But When I debug for the values, this is what I get:

    values.PNG

This is because, the stringEdit formControl type is str10.

Is there any way I can increase the type of this StringEdit form control?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Sukrut,

Thank you very much for your timely reply.

In the code above (taken from the link you provided), we pass "MultiLookUp", which is actually a StringEdit control of a form. Since its Type is str10, only 10 characters from the  lookup string will be passed to the multiselect object and hence to the container.

Also, the method - ConstructWithQuery of the class accepts FormStringControl as the parameter.

    Hi Prakash,

You can try increasing the properties:

    Width, Height

    DisplayLegnth,  DisplayHeight

Have tried that. It does not work... By the way, these properties are for look and feel of the control.
