Financial reports

ReportReport
Posted on by 76

I tried to run a financial report for a previous year, and the dates kept defaulting back to the dates that were listed when I opened the report.  At first I thought it was that I was unable to run a historical report, but I went to another report that listed 2024 dates (last run) and the same thing happened.  I put in different dates and when I tried to recalculate it defaulted back to 2024.  Any ideas how to fix this?  I've never had any issues before with reporting.

Hi, sounds more like the page holding a saved filter than something wrong with the report itself. First thing I'd try, open it and clear personalization on that page, then set the dates again. Also run it in a private browser window with a fresh session — if the dates hold there, you know it's saved state on your user.

Other thing to check is the column definition. If the columns use period formulas, the header dates get recalculated from the period type and your typed date gets pushed aside, which looks exactly like it defaulting back.

And check your work date, Set Work Date in the settings. If that's sitting somewhere in 2024 a lot of things start behaving strange.

Is it happening for other users too, or only your login? That will tell you quick whether it's the report or just your personalization.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.

►  If this solved it, marking it verified helps others too.
