Two Shippers Created

Posted on 31 Aug 2017 19:01:34 by 1,270

Hi

I have a situation that recently started occurring, where one sales order creating two shippers.

I checked that the shipvia id is the same for all line items and the required dates are also the same.  I could not think of any other scenario that may cause this to occur.

Has anyone come up with a situation like this before and any ideas what could caused this scenario to exist so that I could resolve this issue?

Any response will be appreciated.

Regards

I had a closer look at the sales order and I realized that the first five items did not have a shipviaid but the others had which caused the two shippers to be created.

    Thanks

    RE: Two Shippers Created

Ultimately, it is the Schedule that determines Shipper creation.  So, there must be some value(s) on the Schedules that are different.  The usual suspects are:

    - SiteID

    - ShipViaID

    - DropShip

    - Cust Address ID (ShipToID)

    - Date Requested

If they are all the same for each line item on the order, and there are not multiple schedules for any of the line items, not sure what else could be the problem.

    Hi Mark

Thanks for the response.  I checked the siteid but they are the same; there are also no dropship checkbox values for the items.

In addition, strange enough the schedules for all the line items have the same dates.

Any other thoughts on why you think this is occurring?

    RE: Two Shippers Created

    Most common scenarios are:

    - Different SiteID's for line items

    - Different DropShip checkbox values for line items

Also, check the underlying Schedules for the line items to make sure all the values (including the ones you mentioned) are consistent for each schedule.
