Hi guys
Once again i find the lack of documentation on DM365 shocking.
When preparing my customer journey I can add multiple swim lanes, but what logic is applied to the swimlanes?
In my case i'm wanting to send an email to a subscription list, but then for users that click on a specific link I also want to send a particular follow up trigger email. However, last week I've already sent one campaign to select number of contacts from this subscription list and don't want these contacts to receive the additional email twice.
If i create one swim lane which is the regular sending of the email, and a second which is the same, but has an exclusion of the segment i don't want to receive the second email will this work - or will each swim lane be sent in it's entirety, meaning users i'm trying to exclude will still get the email?
Visual example below
Hi Dan,
Multiple swim lane flows come in handy , when you want to use the same journey flow but with email messages or content for different regions and in different languages. So I can have one swim lane flow to target my customers from EMEA in English and another swim lane flow to target customer from APAC in Arabic. These swim lanes execute in parallel as soon as the journey starts.
However, in your case you can use the second swim lane flow by editing your second segment with a behavioral block as shown below:
To summarize, I can say in Segment 1 I am targetting all contacts from EMEA region. In my second swim lane flow I am targetting the same contacts but not the ones to whom first email was delivered.
If this answers your question, please mark it as verified.

Hamza
Hi Dan,
Now I know what you want to achieve.
It is recommended to create a new dynamic segment something like the following screenshot to filter out the contacts who clicked the certain link in the certain email and are from the first segment but not from the second segment.
Remain your first swim lane and then set the new segment as the audience of the second swim lane to send the 'Dan test 2' email.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,

Hi Nya
From my understanding if i remove the first swim lane then the users from jayne test group wouldn't get a copy of 'Test email march'.
From this example, I want everyone to get a copy of 'dan test email march', but only those who click a specific link (that aren't also part of the jayne test group) to receive the 'Dan test 2' email.
How do i create this flow?
Hi Dan,
There is a parallel relationship between swim lanes.
So the first swim lane in your screenshot can be deleted according to your request.
The second lane is all you need.
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
