Sandbox Copy Taking a Long Time

Hi:

I am making another copy of production into a new sandbox environment, by deleting a previously copied sandbox environment and copying production into a new sandbox environment of the same name as the deleted copy.

I have done this before, and it usually does not take long since production is new and does not have much data.

So, why has now over an hour passed and "Preparing" still running in the Admin Center?

Hey John - the copy function can be very intensive especially if done while users are actively working in the system. If you try when there are no users in BC are you seeing the same performance hit?

Try to refresh your admin center and see if the copy is still preparing. If not try to copy again.

In some cases it looks like it is copying but the copying has been aborted and you will have to schedule a new copy.
