Batch balancing in a production order

Indicates that Microsoft Dynamics is trying to create a duplicate InventSum record, which manages inventory on-hand balances for specific items.

    1. Check Inventory Transactions:

      • Verify if there are existing inventory transactions or records for item FIRM6007.5. Sometimes, previous transactions are incomplete or stuck, causing issues with new records. You can check this under Inventory management > Inquiries > Transactions.
    2. Check Batch Reservation Settings:

      • Sometimes, batch balancing conflicts with existing reservations. Check if the batch reservation setting is configured to reserve specific batches or if the item has batch reservation rules that might be causing the duplication.
    3. Clear Pending Records:

      • In some cases, resetting or clearing pending records related to InventSum may resolve the issue. To do this, you may need to manually clear any stuck reservations or use periodic clean-up jobs in Inventory management to remove orphaned or duplicated inventory records.
    4. Review Production Order Settings:

      • Double-check your production order setup, especially the setup for batch ingredients. Confirm that no other active batch jobs are modifying the same item, which can sometimes lead to conflicts in the InventSum table.
    5. Run Database Consistency Checks:

      • Consider running a database consistency check for inventory tables, especially the InventSum table. This can be done from System administration > Periodic tasks > Database > Consistency check. Make sure you select only the relevant inventory tables to avoid impacting other data.
