Update "Modified On" based on adding a new related Activity

Hello:

I am trying to see if this is possible (by workflow, Jscript, etc.): I need the Modified On field to update based on a new Activity being created for that Entity.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance on this...is it even possible?

EDIT: Currently, I have a workflow that creates a note on the entity, but am looking for a "cleaner" solution.

Funny, I was just thinking the same. Question: Why do you want this?

I wanted it to see all Accounts with Activities non modified since 1 month.

But you cant use the Modified On filter when filtering on Activities.

I was advised >>> run a report that checks the audit history of all activities and see which have not been modified since 1 month

Not really what i wanted but it might work, have not tested it yet.

I would like to implement that workflow and try it out for myself.

Hi,

I don't know what means "Cleaner" for you, but I have done something like this some months ago using plugins.

A trigger on Post Operation of Create Message for Activities (Email, phone call, task, Appointment ...) updates that Entity.
