Passing JournalID to RDP

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I have a report created only using RDP, which means it does not have controller and contract. Unfortunately I don't have any idea how to pass the journal number to the RDP class. Any idea or tutorial that can help me on this for a beginner. Thank you in advance.

How could you say it doesn't have Contract class? aren't you accessing it through report dialog or from somewhere , please tell us more.

    Hi,

If its a simple report that is being generated based on query, then you can simply add a range to your report query such that it appears on the dialog.

    Refer link:

(Query Based SSRS report from Scratch Dynamics Ax 2012 R3.)

If your report uses a RDP class(with some business logic), then selected journal number on the dialog (that is implemented with the help of contract class) is passed to the DP class and they are accessed through parm methods of contract class. Also you can check classes CustAccountStatementIntController, CustAccountStatementIntContract and CustAccountStatementIntDP for reference.
