Error message in the "Confirmed purchase orders with changes" in D365 Finance and Operations

Hi team,

We've just updated the test environment to the version 10.0.39 and we were testing the workspace /Confirmed purchase orders with changes/ so we could configure it as per the link below:

I've found other links however, none mention the error I'm receiving while accessing the workspace:

Error message - /Principal user (Id=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx, type=8, roleCount=1, privilegeCount=0, accessMode='0 Read-Write', AADObjectId='xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx', MetadataCachePrivilegesCount=10588, businessUnitId=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx), is missing prvReadSolution privilege (Id=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx) on OTC=**** for entity 'solutioncomponent' (LocalizedName='Solution Component'). context.Caller=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Consider adding missed privilege to one of the principal (user/team) roles./

I have the Power Platform integrated into the environment and my user is a system admin, but I'll be testing this workspace with a different user with specific role to access the workspace; it's clear that I need to add it privileges but I don't know where. I don't have the Power Apps for this environment, as I thought the issue could be from there.

After the last response and recommendation provided to this question, I feel like I have a few points that I have to stand out since I was not able to obtain a response:

1. The issue is within a workspace that doesn't need the Dual-write to be setup on the environment;
2. I don't have DW setup on the environments as this is not something that we're using nor it's a requirement to use this workspace.

Clarification on this matter would be very much appreciated as I don't know where to add the privilege to the user (I tried to search in the Security configuration and I couldn't find the one specific mentioning the entity and privilege on the error message). Please consider that this is happening on the System Admin user as well.

Thank you in advance

    Hi @Komi Siabi,

    Thank you for the suggestion, however I have a few points regarding the information you shared; the issue is within a workspace that doesn't need the Dual-write to be setup on the environment; additionally, I don't have DW setup on the environments as this is not something that we're using nor it's a requirement to use this workspace. Lastly, I couldn't find the path for the Dual-write security roles (most probably because I don't have it setup).

    Could you clarify and confirm that this is where I can add the roles to the user and if so, where can I find the DW security roles configuration?

    Thank you in advance.
