I know there is a KB out there somewhere about this...
On my check format, I'm trying to hide the dollar sign and place a few astericks before the dollar figure.
I'm also trying to add astericks beyond/after the written dollar amount as well.
Can anyone direct me on this one?

You can create a currency format in report writer that is set to not show the currency symbol. Open the report in report writer, double click the currency field you want with no symbol, then click on the button to the right of the Format field, then click New, give it a name and make whatever choices you want - remembering to make sure the 'show currency symbol' field is unticked. Save this.
Double click any other fields you want with no currency symbol, and assign this new format to them.
Otherwise, removing the currency symbol from the curency set up will make every instance of this currency un-symboled (if that is an actual word!!).
