Hello,

I have tried to add the control "RichTextControl" to a multiline text field.
However, I get this message in the text field where I include the RichTextControl. :

This control (MscrmControls.RichTextControl.RichTextControl) is deprecated use MsdynmktControls.RichTextControl.RichTextControl instead.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix that or the control change can be done?

I have the same question (0)

    Hey Dima!

How are you trying to add this control? Via the classic editor or the new one?

Can you give more information about the field you're trying to add the control to, as well as the form?

    Hello,

    thanks for the reply!

In fact, it is the classic form.

    About the field:

    • It is the classic description field.
    • Data type: Multiple text lines
    • Maximum length: 2000
    • IME mode: auto
    • No business rules applied to it.

Here's how I tried to add the rich text control:

    1. Using "Customize System" to "Entities" opened my desired form in "Forms".
    2. Double clicked to open the field (description) which should contain the rich text control.
    3. Selected the "Controls" option in the tab and then finally added the "RichTextControl" under "Add Controls".
    4. Finally I selected "Internet", "Phone" and "Tablet" in the "RichTextControl" line.

I have added a few screenshots as attachments.

    Greetings

Interesting. I have a rich text editor control as well on some forms but mine is called "Rich Text Editor Control". Is there another control with "Rich Text Editor" in the name? What version of Dynamics are you using?

    Hi,

You should use Rich Text Editor Control instead of RichTextControl. Please see below screenshot from my enviornment.

    Hallo,

I am using DynamicsCRM online (Serverversion: 9.2.21104.00142 and Clientversion: 1.4.3510-2110.4).

    Version : Wave2 2020.

No, there is only one option to select.

That is very strange. I'm not really sure why you're seeing a deprecated control and not the current one.
