Hi All,

I have been using Edit in Excel functionality and after updating the BC Production Environment to v19.3, all the users are facing the following issue.
ExcelAdd_2D00_In.png

I cleared Excel Cache, changed sign-in, reinstalled Excel. But doesn't resolve the issue.
Kindly advise.

Thanks.

I have the same question (0)

    Have you gone through this setup after upgrading to 19.3?

    In addition to Inge feedback

    1) Assuming you are on SaaS version. do all users have required permission?

    cargas.com/.../

    2) is this happen in one page (like customer) or it is in every page?

    Hi MahGah,

    I have tested this suggestion. Everything seems fine.
    However the issue is not resolved.

    Hi Inge,

    I'm using BC Online.

    These steps are for BC-OnPrem.

    Kindly advise!

    Thanks.

    Hi Olister

    Thanks for info. It is a strange message. Looks like excel cannot connect to BC.  Looks like Edit in Excel creates webservice based on page id and then use that.

    Can you check and see if you can access one of the published ODATA in web service  from Excel (something like this thatnavguy.wordpress.com/.../)

    This is the code for edit in excel

       procedure EditWorksheetInExcel(PageCaption: Text[240]; PageId: Text; "Filter": Text)

       var

           ServiceName: Text[240];

       begin

           ServiceName := FindOrCreateWorksheetWebService(PageCaption, PageId);

           OnEditInExcel(ServiceName, Filter);

    If this is BC online i would suggest to raise a support ticket with Microsoft and get their help to investigate this.

    The only other thing i think can come into play here if the user rights are ok is that it might be some security policies that are enforced on all your computers in the same network.

    Then i would try for a computer that is not in your network or have enforced any company security policies.

    Hi Team,

    I got the resolution to the issue.
    There was a Webservice and Edit in Excel was trying to create one more webservice.

    I have posted my debugging steps on https://olisterr.blogspot.com/2022/02/how-to-resolve-edit-in-excel-issues.html

    Thanks All.
