Default Gen. Bus. Posting Group for customer created through the API

How can I create a customer via the API and have their posting details set up. Is there a way to set a default? Is there a way to send it via the API? In the UI it makes you select a template when creating a customer, why is not possible to supply a template ID when creating a customer through the API?

Hi,

You need to expose the field from the Customer (18) table and set the default value or allow user to select from the default value.

You can use templates to set default values. If you are using a standard API, you can add customization to the customer insert to establish some default values, or you can create an API with those fields and set those values using the API.

As for the templates mentioned by Suresh, you can set them in the following page, which is simpler than customizing the API, but you can only set a fixed set.
