I would like to set a database to read only. I am able to set it at the database level. when the company is set in the database level to read-only users are not able to login with this mode. Is there anything that most be configured at the application level?

Thanks

Definitely do NOT put the database in read-only mode.  Solomon tracks things like the total number of accesses, and needs to record that info in the database.  As mentioned, the only way to get read-only access is to set up a GRO
UP and do not grant them any rights exccept the "view" option for the screens they need.

Note that read-only is the default when you add a screen or a module to the access rights screen.

    Thank you for your reply.

Will it be neccessary to put the database in read only mode or just leave it as it is an manage access through solomon.

To give read-only access, you can set up a group and make access read-only and then add the appropriate users to the group. If the set up of right for the users is currently all DB's you will have to go in and change that to the DB's to which you want them to have appropriate access for transaction processing.
