JavaScript window.external property (access to Outlook API) is undefined after installing CRM client for Outlook SP1 UR1

Hi,

We have a script which is responsible to render configuration pop-up window in CRM 2013. It is using standard JS window object to get outlook host window.

Client reported error and they are using following:

1. MS CRM 2013
Update Rollup 3 for MS Dynamics CRM 2013 SP1 - 6.1.3.119

2. CRM Client for Outlook
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 – Update Rollup 3 – 6.1.0003.0119

3. Office Version:
MS Office Professional Plus 2013 SP1 (version 15.0.4569.1506)

I created new environment trying to reproduce and it was working with Outlook CRM client 2013, Outlook CRM client 2013 SP1. However, after I installe Outlook CRM client 2013 SP1 UR1, I got same issue as client.

I am testing on IE v.11.0.9600.18231.

Is there anything known that was changed with Outlook Client SP1 UR1, that is breaking access to window.external object and its methods?

Still not sure what is new with UR1 that caused this to fail.

Try refreshing the pop-up once. Hopefully window.external will be accessible once the window is refreshed.
