Can I scan vendor license plate while product receipt from mobile app

Hi Everyone,

I have to configuration the following scenario for license plate /work ID.

Suppose, I created purchase order and share with my vendor - he sent goods to my warehouse according to purchase order. and the goods are on pallet with license plate number.

How can I configure my system to scan that ID.

Vendor has packed the goods for me like: 1 Carton = 12 Pcs and 1 Pallet = 12 Cartons

I have to scan Pallet ID OR group License plate number from mobile device to get in that pallet with above quantity equation.

I think the flows will depend your business process needs. The license plate receiving process supports several workflows based on the defined setup.

I am not getting your point can you explain more to understand. I want to scan vendor license plate number at baydoor from WMS - mobile device. can we configure in system?

Hi Raheel,

You have some options:

1) Use Inbound ASN:

If your vendor knows your PO and can send you the information of what is being sent ahead of times, you can arrange for them to send you a ASN in D365 format for your import. To create manually, you will need to create a Packing Structure (from PO, create Load using Load Planning Workbench. From that Load ID, find menu for Packing Structure and add lines for each LP with Items, Qty and units. AFter this, you can receive the LP with a Mobile Mene Device Item 'License Plate Receiving'

Option #2: If the pallet are stanbdard for single items, you can define the unit conversions on that item 1 PL= 12 Cartons, 1 PL = 144 pcs, 1 Carton = 12 pcs and configure a Unit Sequence Group 'Pcs-carton-PL' like follows and associta eit with the item:

On your PO receiving Mobile Device Menu will be configured as follows. This will create a LP for each PL quantity received. With the Generate Licence Plate at 'No', you will be able to scan the Vendor's LP and use it

Option #3: Use GS1 barcode. IYou can engage yout vendor to provide GS12 compliant barcodes that you can scan with the mobile device. There is a relatively new functionality that allows mapping of standard GS1 Application Identifier to LP (SSSC), Item ID (GTIN), Qty, unit of measure and so on.
