There are 2 questions here, really.
The problem I've got is adding products to quotes using the Quote Product Inline View.
On a quote record, once a quote has been saved, the user can add products using the quote product inline view.
The user has Read on product at organization level, and can see the products in the lookup in the view. They also have Append and Append To at org level on both quote and product.
If they try to add a product, they get a red X at the top of the view, and the tooltip on it says "You do not have permission to access these records. Please contact your CRM system administrator."
The Account (Potential Customer) for the quote belongs to the user
My 2 questions are:
1. Does anyone know which permissions to add?
2. Given that I am on CRM online, and cannot run any server side tracing (I think...), does anyone have a strategy for getting a more meaningful error message (like the XML ones in the popups where it says "Download log file") which would tell me the entity and privilege, so I can debug this should it happen again elsewhere?

I have the same question (0)I should add, if I give the user permission to override pricing, they can write in a product to the quote and save it, so it appears only existing products that are being added cause the error...
