Can anyone walk me through step by step on how I access the Dynamics 365 Real Time Marketing data to add to Power BI report? Specifcally I am trying to create reports for my Journeys fo both email and SMS.
I have the same question (1)

UPDATE: I tried use the Dynamics Customer Insights (Beta) connector in Power BI. ITs not showing any tables when I connect. For those who are looking for the answer I will continue to give updates until I figure out. I see this challenge dates back at least 2 years.

Just keeping this thread alive. I have been all over the internet, youtube, chatgpt, copilot but no definitieve answer. I have tried the connector on several occasions and still no dice. I am surprised no one else is having this issue. Either this is unique or no one wants to share the answer with me.

The one thin I notice is that my version of Dynamics 365 MArketing says "Dyanmics MArketing" at the top and not Dynamics 365 Customer Insights. I do have access to most data which includes email, forms, journeys, etc. But the one piece of data I do not see is interaction data for mobile sms such as sent and clicked.

We do alot of mobile text now and would like everything unified in one PowerBI report. Right now I have to use the built in analytics tool which further tells me the data is there its just getting access to it. Any help, tips, or magic would be helpful.

Sorry, this has got to be frustrating. I can say that I definitely connected to Customer Insights once for a customer using a Dataflow, but I don't recall exactly how it was done. It uses PowerQuery so it should also be possible in PowerBI.

I did find the below documentation that highlights the table schema for Customer Insights, so again indicating that there should be some way to connect.

I also found this information about using APIs for Customer Insights, which I imagine can also be used to pull data out of the system and into PowerBI.

Maybe that would be an avenue you can try out? Let me know if this helps at all.

One more quick note, looks like Microsoft says most of the tables should be available in Dataverse for you to connect to as well.

Or you can push real-time journey data into Fabric and consume it into PowerBI from there?
