Tracking comp time easily in GP

Does anyone have any suggestions for auto-tracking of comp time in GP?  The scenario is that if an employee works over 40 hours, whereas they would have earned 1.5 x the regular rate of pay, they are awarded 1.5x the number of hours in comp time.  Currently this is being tracked manually.

THanks, I think you're right.  I'm not finding anything out there that does this.

Thank you for your input! :)

Yes it does make sense Alicia.  You in essence want GP to track hours worked and put them in a 'bank' to be consumed in the future rather than paid out in the current pay period.  I think you're looking at a customization to accomplish that.

They are tracking it outside of GP.  Recording the comp time earned could be done as you suggest.  The missing part, which they want automated, is putting that time into an 'earned time' bucket to use.  Similar to how sick/vacation time is accumulated and then available to take.  make sense?

Alicia, how are they reporting their over-40 hours now?  Couldn't you just ask them to report into a Paycode that has no rate associated with it?
