Search in lookup by keyboard input

Hello.

I've got a strange lookup behaviour in Dynamics Ax 2012 R3. There is a dialog form with lookup field. When user starts client, opens form and lookup and starts inputing symbols from keyboard SOMETIMES in status bar appears a binocular icon (sample below) with that symbols and cursor in lookup field moves to the record starting from that symbols. But sometimes it doesn't appear.

After experiments, I've found that if user starts dynamics Ax client and opens form from Navigation pane (side bar in the left) not from Content Area or after opening form presses Alt+F1 (Display the Navigation Pane if it is collapsed.), the search works. And if user opens form from content area, the keyboard search doesn't work.

Is there any option to enable this search permanently? In setup or from X++ code?
