If I am going to use the dimension of "Departments" for the chart of accounts, do I need to also setup posting groups?

Hello John,
Yes, you will need to also setup posting groups. Posting groups will tell the system which GL Account to post to when posting things like Sales Invoices, etc. Dimension just breaks up the amounts within that GL Account.
