Wrong Physical Inventory Transaction

Dear All,

Kindly take a look at the below transaction,

If the Inventory Movement date is before Inventory Receipt Date How this transaction is valid.

this is the moving average until make recalculation

after recalculation , all transaction will affect by inventory model in item model group .

Hello Mehmoud,

My concern is not on the cost.

If you can observe the below transaction with dates, you can see that inventory is being received on 8/1/2017 so how it is being moved out on 7/29/2017

Hi Haider,

It is possible if the PO receipt was posted and later a journal transaction was created with a posting date in July. AX is not checking if the inventory was zero with a certain date; only if there is stock available.

Hello Andre,

So it means, AX won't be checking dates of transactions and it won't restrict the transaction to occur unless we don't have stock available.

Don't we have any setup check through which we can restrict such transactions

Hi Haider ,

Check if you marked for physical inventory option in Storage dimension form or no.

Because if u didn't mark that is mean the warehouse dimension is not considered when u create an issue transaction and the quantities in all warehouses that belong to the same site are available based on site not warehouse on-hand

In terms of a Purchase order, the Physical date is the date of the Product receipt. Aside from André's answer, it is also possible that the PO Line was Registered into inventory on or before the 29th July.
