What The Difference between
Active -> In progress Quote
Active -> Open Quote

Hi Abdul,
This could be a confusing thing in Dynamics CRM. Well not just for Quotes but for many out of the box entities statecode (Status) and statuscodes (Status Reason) are 2 related fields. Where Status Reason is more detailed reason related to the satus, the record currently holds. For example in your case Active -> Open means the quote is still open (not shared with the client) , whereas Active -> In progress means quote has been shared with the client.
Similarly Status 'Closed' has detailed statuscodes as Lost, Cancelled and Revised. This elaborates why the quote was closed. Whether it was lost (for a lost opportunity) or cancelled (where the client requires a new quote for the same products) or Revised. Statuscodes are for users to understand more detail reason about the current status. Also Statuscodes are option sets which are editable but Status are system option sets which are not editable.
