Construction Lending Software

Does anyone know of a third party software ( i am assuming this would be the only way), that works with GP for Construction Lending. This is not Job Costing, but it does have some aspects of Job Costing. We have a line of business that works like a bank to give out construction loans, just like a bank would give a construction loan. it would need to be able to track draws, calculate interest (both fixed and variable), be able to put liens against the sub-contractors, and follow many loans. This is NOT a simple interest calculation software, nor is it a just a Loan program. We have looked at some of these and none do the trick. We have looked at the Loan Module from Binary Stream and this does not work for what we are looking to do. Perhaps, some banking companies that are using GP could be helpful. If anyone knows of something please let me know. Thanks for all the help

Don't know of anything - if standard GP functionality or Binary Stream does not cut it - then it is unlikely you will find an out of the box ISV product that will meet your needs.

If not, then you have two options:

1. Develop your own custom GP module to do what you want.

2. Invest in a best of breed stand alone software package that wuill do what you need - and integrate it into GP.

Both of the above are viable options. The best option might be getting best of breed and integrating to GP using eConnect. This way you benefit from changes to the best of breed loan system, and also from GP and upgrade of eithre does not necessarily mean you have to upgarde the other. You can upgrade the Loan System - and worst case you have to make some changes to the eConnect service. But neithre option should scare you. Once managed correctly a development project will give you exactly what you need - (and Dexterity is not going away!! Its firmly back in the frame with the new GP Web Client.)
