Label text missing from model file.

If I am reading the answer to this post above correctly, when I export a model file, that model file should include the text for my labels. That is not my experience. When I export objects that are unique to my environment to a model file and then import that model file on another machine, the labels themselves are displayed ("@XYZ123") and not the text that corresponds to those labels. In order to get the label text to display on the new machine I need to manually import the label file separately. My impression from reading the answer to the post above would have me believe I should not have to do that. Am I missing something?

My observation, previously you must stop the AOS service first and then export the model including the labels. Otherwise the labels may be incomplete.

Hi, if that doesn't work, try this

If labels are not displayed correctly after you start the client, you may not have restarted the AOS instance.

If you did restart the AOS and you are still not seeing correct labels, you may need to remove the .ald (label) files from the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\<instancename>\bin\Application\Appl\Standard, and then restart the AOS.

The rest of the article can be found at technet.microsoft.com/.../hh538446.aspx

    Hope it helps,

    Steve

I faced a similiar issue with the missing labels, the issue did not go away even after doing restart of the AOS.

Only manually importing the file from the working Application instance folder(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\<instancename>\bin\Application\Appl\Standard) of custom ax-enusXYZ.ald files fixed my issue. The manual import is done from the Development work-space.

Restart the AOS before exporting the model.
