Word template not showing for SOP History Blank Invoice

(0) ShareShare

I've created a Word template for the SOP Blank History Invoice in the Report Template Maintenance screen.  It is assigned as the default to my company, but when I print a historical invoice, I do not get the option to select Template --  just Standard.

All of the other SOP forms work just fine.

How can I get GP to use the Word template for the historical invoice?

Thanks.

-Joe

    Joe,

If I'm not mistaken, you have to assign the template to the company and all customers that you want to use the template for.

    Hi Aaron-

I have tried that too and it still doesn't show.  But on the other forms, I just have them assigned to the company and they all display.

Anything else I can try to make this work?

    Thanks.

Did you assign the security to the DefaultUser Role in Alternate Forms and Reports, you have to do this if you are using the Modified Report.

Steve is right, If you have a modified report and security is not set for that role to view the report, then you will only see the Standard option.

The security was set for the modified report.  As a test, I deleted my modified report in Report Writer and went into security and set it back to the original out of the box SOP historical invoice.  In the template maintenance I set it up with the SOP historical invoice original report, it automatically assigned to the company, and I also assigned to my test customer ID.

When I print a historical invoice to screen, I still don't get any option to print the template, just the standard report.

Is there anything else I can do to get this to work?

    Thanks.

Did you go to Reports>Template Configuration and Enable that Report for that Company? this is the confusing part, first you have to Enable it here, then when you go to Reports>Template Maintenance, you select the Report on "Report Name" then choose Assign and Select the Company, then go to Assign and Select Customer, and assign it to the Customer as well. The first one is the one that got me, it essentially enables it for the Company.

Last thing, and this caught me at the Beginning, you can only use SOP Blank Invoice Form and SOP History Blank Invoice Form, none of the Short, Long or Other are available yet (not sure they will be.

I have been trying to get the Blank with Options to work but it isn't for me, but the others do.
