We have a company with functional currency and reporting currency set as British Pounds. We are doing electronic payments for payables and sending email notices to the vendors. The message is printing correctly except for the currency symbol. The currency is showing as � rather than the £. Has anyone encountered this?

I hope you are doing great, and thank you for using the Microsoft Dynamics GP Forums!
This is a known issue that only occurs for emails for the British Pound.
Currently there is a workaround using the PDF format and the option to Send Documents as Attachments.
This is being considered for a future release of GP.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions on this.
