User doesn't appear as an enabled user in Field service portal

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I created a new Office 365 user and assigned Dynamics 365 for Field Service License. The user doesn't show up as an enabled user in the Dynamics 365 Settings/Security/Enabled User List. So I can not assign security roles. I tried removing the license and reapplying the license. I removed the license and applied a Engagement plan license.

So it means CRM and AD is correct.

Is that user in AD dissabled?

Verify that you don't have Security groups or AD configuration where you need to add your users in O365 because this could block license synchronization for that user.

    Hello Blitzey:

Removing a license from a current enable user moves the user to the disabled users list. Putting the license back moves the user back to the enabled users list.

    Hi CreedB,

Make sure your AD is syncing with CRM, try remove a license from another User which you know doesn't need anymore, then try assigning back the license and see how it goes. Make sure you have available licenses as well.

    Thanks for the reply.

I created the user a week ago. The search results in 0 hits.

How long did you wait ? Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the user to appear.

Also, for completeness, check if the user exists in CRM - use advanced find on the User entity with no other conditions. It may be that the user was previously added and disabled in CRM, in which case I think they stay disabled until you change the status
