Need a java script for block and Unblock page

Hi ,

i got a scenario where i have created a custom button and one JavaScript function is calling while clicking on the custom button. So page should be block wherever click on custom button(that means users cannot click anywhere in the page), here i need a script for block and Unblock page like whenever the JavaScript function calls, at the first line of function there should be a page block code and once the rest of the code is performed then again page should be unblock.

Please help me here.

    Hi Gaurav,

    are you looking for some lightbox effect (like e.g. http://jsfiddle.net/G3jRm/2/) ?

    or are you looking for a way to lock down all controls on the page (turn them readonly)?

    i am looking for the solution like to lock all the controls with all the ribbon buttons

    what you can try to do is the following:

    1. add an html resource to the page

    2. on the html resource you have some css and javascript

    3. the button click activates/deactivates the javascript on the html resource.

    4. the function on the html resource applies a lightbox or hides it

    in the url I sent above, you'll find a basic lightbox/overlay implementation (you could make it 100% transparent)
