Registration form doesn't load

Hi Everybody

I have created Event in D365M. I have also created Registration Form in D365M. I want to host this registration form on external website. I have all settings in order (I have searched through the whole forum to find my specific problem and checked all of the settings).

I am using script to host the form on external page. My problem is, that the form on the website shows an error:

Of course I checked if my event is live, and it is. So is the form.

How the registration should work is, that we will send out invitation emails, with button that will redirect contacted person to the page, where we are hosting the registration form. We don't have a webpage for the event itself.

Please, help

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Partner,

Please also check whether you have enabled using marketing form for registration for your event and associated with a specific form record.

    Hi Partner,

Did you use the automatically generated script from Form hosting field?

In addition to above setting, please also make sure your domain has been authenticated in advanced settings.

    Hi Clofly,

When I created marketing form I used the option "Form hosting" directly in the form settings:

    pastedimage1602762644008v1.png

The form uses prefilling (the settings for that are in order, domain where I am hosting the form is also authenticated. I checked that with the admins). When i go to the "Related Marketing form pages" and click on the page there, this is what I can see:

What I added into the external page is the highlited part (it is longer than what I am showing).

On my event page I don't have the script:

    Thank you so much

    Hi MaiElorym,

    Thanks for sharing your process.

    However, script of related marketing form page(in form hosting tab.) is used to run landing page or subscription center;

instead, we should use the automatically generated script from form hosting field of event.

As expected, the field will display once the "use marketing form for registrations" is enable and a specific event is selected.

You could run following command in console to try to check whether the field was hidden and could work.

    Xrm.Page.getControl("msevtmgt_formpagejavascriptcode").setVisible(true);

    pastedimage1602763756705v1.png

If the field could display and the script could work on your external page, then check whether the field was hidden by any possible business rules or other custom javascript functions.

    Thanks a lot for this.

I run the command, and I could see the field where the Form Hosting should be visible.

Do you maybe know, where I could look for the business rules/javascript functions you are reffering to?

    Regards

    Hi MaiElorym,

    Advanced settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Entities > Event > Form > Event(main)

    pastedimage1602765721077v1.png

    pastedimage1602766016755v2.png

In form editor, we can check business rules and any enabled javascript in form properties.

    pastedimage1602766109294v3.png

You could set the field to be visible by default, then save and publish the form.

    Hi MaiElorym,

By coping the script from Form hosting field of event, does marketing form for event registration display on your external website now?

    Hi Clofly,

I have coppied the script from Form hosting field, but now nothing happens on the website itself. Even the initial error dissapeared. Could that be a problem of the CMS system?

    Hi MaiElorym,

The form will be injected to web page by the script.

    pastedimage1602837346321v1.png

You could do following steps to troubleshoot:

    1. Open console to check whether there is error message.

    2. As I have shown in my posted screenshot, check whether the form element is actually generated. (By selecting the div which has data-form-block-id attribute.)

(Check whether the form is set to be hidden by any custom CSS rule.)

    3. Are you using any plugin to add the script to page?

For some of plugins of Wordpress, they will put custom code into iframe element.

Check whether there is iframe element on your page with inspector.

If exists, create a blank page to add the script.(In other word, create a web page by yourself.)

    Regards,

    Clofly
