Sending test transmission to GP Web Services

Posted on by 75,730

I have been asked to help with a Greenshades installation that uses web services. From my side, everything seems to indicate that web services is running. On the GS side all I have is an address for a URL. What should I use for that address.

And you've verified that everything is good in GP Web Services?

That was the scary thing. They were on the line and kept trying to send test transmissions and nothing was coming up.

    Hello Richard,

I'm have to imagine that Greenshades has some documentation as to what URL they require.  The last time I recall looking at this it was a version of the Legacy Web Services endpoint.

A quick web search found this documentation for what appears to be an older version of Greenshades Garnishments, but it may still apply:

    www.greenshades.com/.../GarnishmentsWebservices.pdf

Section 4.1 shows using an old version of the Legacy endpoint.  You can find this URL in the GPLegacy.config file in your GPWebServices\ServiceConfigs directory.
