Install D365 Development Environment on-promise

Hello,

I've to install a new development environment for D365 with visual studio 2015.

I've heard that there's some problem for on-promise, so is it possible, could we install it?!

Does any one know how to do it (step by step) please?!

Which one should be installed first?

Hi,

Development is not supported in cloud or on-premises environments.

Development is supported only in Local one box, VHD downloaded from Microsoft collaboration site (previously Microsoft Connect)

Yes, I assume you mean D365 (Ax) not CRM etc.

Start with the help in Docs and see the comments below the articles, which will indicate some of the pitfalls and resolutions.

Make sure you have the right environment to support Edge computing/Service App fabric, understand SQL orchestrator etc.

There have been a couple of recent blogs, listing the main steps that you should be able to find easily with a search. If you only want a Dev environment vm then see Dilip's recent post

you need to walk through LCS how test live and development environment are created and in development environment you can have visual studio but it has to have TFS connected to user created for development.
