HOW TO CHECK THE HISTORY/DETAILS OF THE ENTERED CHECKS.

Hello to all,

I am a bit fresh user of GP (2013), the problem i have that at the end of every month i have to submit a report that how many CHECKS and of what Values with beneficiary details i have been dealt. but i didn't find any way to get these details on a single click in GP as ,now, i am preparing these in Excel sheets which is a heart tiring work.

I Use the following way for preparing and printing checks for vendors.

Transactions>>Purchasing>>Edit Check>> and enter the other details.

Now please specify the way how can i get the details of my each check that i entered.

Note: I am not talking about Bank Reconciliation please.

    Hi,

    Like the above steps as I followed to get checks history, this time I need the " Payable Transaction Entry " history. e.g I registered the invoices for payables on daily basis and on every 2nd Saturday I have to report my senior about the invoices received and entered into GP... 

    for this now I use excel but its very time consuming and bit lengthy process to record the transaction history, as was doing same for cheques history but now I get the cheques as per my required period through :

    Report >> Financial >> checkbook Information .... in few minutes.

    Hi Saqib,

    My apologies, I use Reports because of the options, but, yes the inquiry financial option can provide what you need.

    Here i found the exact solution the problems i had,

    Go to   Inquiry>>Financials>>Checkbook Register

    the Following window will appear now select the ranges either date wise or Number wise to filter your search.7382.Capture.JPG

    and press the Redisplay Button at right Top

    No problem, as you get more comfortable with GP you can use the Smartlist tool to create your own reports.

    When this is created it can be even fewer clicks.

    Hi Saqib,

    If you got to reports>Purchasing>Check Information, you will see Vendor Check

    Register. From there click 'new' 

    Register.gif

    You will see this screen, from there you can enter your search criteria, date, vendor or check number range. In the destination you can save as tab delimited. It is not a single click, but it can give you the information you are looking for.

    There is also the option of creating a report from Smartlist.
