purchase order not showing in list

I have purchase order that was entered incorrectly and then deleted in PO Entry.  The PO items still show up in past due lists, etc.  But are not listed in PO Entry or Edit PO for the purchasing agent.  When I log in as sa, I can get to the PO in either even though it's not listed by typing in the number, but I can't seem to fix the problem.

In POP10100, the POSTATUS, STATGRP, and POTYPE are 0.

Any ideas?

Jay

With all the types and statuses being 0 I would suspect that the PO didn't complete the process of being deleted.  Have you tried running check links on the purchasing series?  You might need to delete the PO out of the POP10100 table first, then run check links, but I hesitate to give advice like this without seeing the data, just in case there is something else going on.

We did run check links on the purchasing series - no errors.

    Jay,

One other thing to try may be to run Reconcile on the PO - have you already tried that as well?

I have definitely seen situations in the past where POs get stuck.  Usually these will also have a blank vendor ID and 1/1/1900 for the dates in the POP10100 table.  In the past I have manually deleted the POs from POP10100 and POP10110, but as I said before, I am not too comfortable with telling someone to delete data without seeing it and knowing the environment (to make sure that this will not impact anything else).

Another option may be to fill in the missing data in the POP10100 table - doing that will allow you to open the PO in GP and try to delete it from there again.

    Victoria,

Running Reconile on the PO worked.  We were able to then cancel the PO in Edit POs.

    Thanks!

Excellent!  I am always glad to find a solution without having to muck with the data on the server.  :-)
