August 18, 2022: A fix is now being rolled out with the latest automatic Teams update, and you should get it within the next three business days. August 17, 2022: A known issue is preventing Microsoft Teams Desktop users from adding annotations in Dynamics 365 Remote Assist. The Remote Assist team is actively working on this issue and will provide a fix as soon as possible. We'll share any updated guidance as it becomes available here and in our docs at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/mixed-reality/remote-assist/known-issues.

May I ask is this related to the error message, "Mixed Reality annotations can't be enabled at this time" / "Holographic annotations can't be enabled at this time"? I was googling the error but could not find a result.

Hi Raidennn - yes, that is the issue and thank you for posting (and I'm sorry for any problems that have resulted). A fix is being deployed now (8/18) and may take up to three business days to reach all customers worldwide. If you need to get unblocked sooner, or you continue to experience the issue after about 8/22, then open a support ticket or let me know so we can help get you unblocked.
