Hi,

Please advise what do these do?

1. Tracking Only. I would also like to find out how to set this up.

2 Tracking and Action Message. I would also like to find out how to set this up and where does the message goes?

Is there a way we can set up the message?

    Josh,

Order Tracking Policy specifics if and how order tracking entries are created and maintained between supply and its corresponding demand. On the Planning Worksheet, if you use it for MRP/MPS, if you click Get Action Messages you will see level-by-level planning for the specific Items demand. If you do not click this or use this button, then set the Order Tracking Policy to NONE. If you set this to anything else but NONE, NAV will create unnecessary tracking entries in the Reservation Entry table.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

When you mentioned "if you click Get Action Messages you will see level-by-level planning for the specific Items demand."

Does it means that at Reorder parameters it will trigger some sort of notification? Will this notification comes in the form of email?

Any idea how this Level-by Level-Planning looks like?

Any Idea how long it will take to create this planning? I hope to set it up asap.

    Josh,

After you setup Planning Parameters on an Item Card, the Requisition Worksheet or Planning Worksheet, after running them, when you highlight a line and click Get Action Message you will see where the demand came from to generate the line record PO or Prod. Order. Order Tracking you can click on a Requisition Worksheet to see demand. Here is a sample:

The planning does not send an email notice to purchase or produce. This is where your Requisition worksheet and Planning Worksheet will pull these planning parameters and Sales Order and Purchase Orders and tell you what needs to be purchased or produced.

    Do you follow?
    Thanks,

    Steve
