Summerizing Service Durations to a Case Attribute

On Service Activities, I've created a 'billable' time field - decimal hr and minutes are entered ex: 1.25 for 1 hr and 15 minutes.  A case can have multiple Service Activities.  I would like to display the accumulation of billable time from all case activities in one field on the Case record.  May also want to multiply buy our service rate.

    Hi Paul,

    You can write plug-in to trap the create/update events of the service activities and perform the calcuation.

    You will get associated case for which the service activity had been created from the Regarding of the activity which would be set to the Case.

    A plugin is certainly the most robust solution but if you are looking for a no-code solution you could increment a value on the case via workflow. It would be indicative more than 100% reliable though simply because it would be thrown out if people adjust the value or delete service activities.
