Display values from master Entity in child Form on Form Save Event

Hi all,

I have this scenario for which I need solution.

a. First Entity named Programs with few fixed details

b. Second Entity names Project. So what I need here is: When user enters a new project, he will select a program from lookup field. This Project form should also display more related details from Program entity in FormSave event and these details should be saved in Project entity

Please suggest how shall I do that

Hi,

Can't there be any simple business rule on form save. i.e. from the Child form I have a lookup field. I choose value form this lookup and save the record. now there are few fields in Child form that takes values form maser which shall be automatically updated.

Please suggest.

Use Webapi to update the Programs Entity on Save of Project Entity.
