Access SO Work Description field from Jet Report

This is mainly Jet Report question. We are in BC SaaS and I need to access "Work Description" field on SO header. This is a Blob field and I do not know how to access it from Jet Report.

Any idea will be appreciate it.

How are you extracting data from BC? I know older Jet versions used the SOAP web services. Is it possible to create a custom web service page and consume that?

Thanks Matthias. Jet Report has an extension that we install on BC SaaS. that extension manage all connection between BC SaaS and Jet. I could not find a method to add "manual SOAP" to Jet.

If we want to create such a SOAP which table we should use?

Well, creating a web service (better OData or API than SOAP) requires a customization and coding.

That is not the preferred option. Do you have a partner or direct support from insights software (the manufacturer of Jet Reports)? They need to check if Jet Reports supports blob fields. I think that is your issue.

That is my issue. Jet Report team said they "sort of support" blob fields. Then for the rest is not a free support. I was wonder if anyone here has done that.

Do you know the table name of the Blob that store work description in BC?

Pretty sure Jet won't extract Blob or image fields from a Saas installation.

Thanks Guy for clarification. I will go back to Jet and will ask them to tell me how we can access Blob since they said this is possible.

I found out that Jet has a function named BinaryText that should extract this kind of info. Through that I was able to see the Work Description but turns out that function does not supported in SaaS version.
