Hello Dynamics community,
I have a robust Dynamics environment with an IIS reverse proxy in front of it. The reverse proxy has AAR installed, and the URL rewrite module is used to send traffic for org1.mydomain.com to wfe.mydomain.com.
Initially, the first organization configured in my Dynamics environment was TestOrg. After that, I created Org1. I noticed that if I specified the organization in the rewrite module URL, for example https://wfe.mydomain.com/Org1, Dynamics wouldn't return any data to the reverse proxy. I was able to fix this by changing the default Org from TestOrg to Org1 in Dynamics, and simply leaving the configuration in the rewrite module to https://wfe.mydomain.com.
However, I now need to wire up org2.mydomain.com . In the rewrite module, when I specify https://wfe.mydomain.com/Org2, Dynamics doesn't play nice with the reverse proxy. I have scoured the web for examples of how to do this but can't seem to find any details on how to do this.
In short, I want to configure the reverse proxy so that org1.mydomain.com serves content from wfe.mydomain.com/org1 and org2.mydomain.com serves content from wfe.mydomain.com/org2. This is reverse proxy 101 and I've done this with many other applications, but for some reason Dynamics doesn't like this.
What am I missing here?
Thanks,
Greg
