Hi,
You can refer the below blog on how to connect to CRM in a Console Application-

The above will give you some basic idea. Now it this code will change based on your other application i.e. if its a web application you may will need to use Web API (shared above).

Do you want to use CRM API's in other application for date use ?
Navigate in CRM sitemap to Settings -> Customization's -> Developer Resources
