How to tell the MRP to not suggest cancelling orders

we are ordernig lots of items for product development, where the ERP does not see the need for the parts because of a lack of sales orders, or planning forecast. We order because we know in our heads we will need the parts...

I want to avoid manually having to touch the planning forecasts (e.g. for components), because in case of a change in the PO, that would result in alot more confusion.

Is there a way to let BC know, on a purchase order level (or PO line level), to not suggest cancelling the order in the planning worksheets? (with it still calculating those parts as available, later)

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

On the Purchase Order Line set the Planning Flexibility to NONE. This will stop the Planning Worksheet from trying to Change/Cancel actions.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Hi Steve,

thanks for your answer! The weird thing is - we don't have this field available, not even in personalize -> add field list.

i guess it has to be activated in a setup somewhere?

If it is not appearing in Personalize, when you click in the Purchase Line, then I would ask your Partner to check into this. It should be present.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hello,

I just thought of this. What License do you have Essential vs. Premium. You need Premium to allow this field to show.

    Thanks,

    Steve
