Hello!,

I am using Ax2012.

In the fixed asset module when I create Depreciation journal lines, Acquisition and Consumption depreciation using Proposals option located on the toolbar, I want the reason codes to be auto populated. I.E I want the Acquisition proposal to take its default reason code value which is "Acquisition".

Please find the below image for more clarification.

I tried assigning the value in the initvalue method of LedgerJournalTrans datasource but it didnt work.Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wekey

    Hi,

    I am bit confused with your screen shot as tables AssetDepBookJournalTable AssetDepBookJournalTrans holds Depreciation book journal data at the path: Fixed assets/Journals/Depreciation book journal and not by LedgerJournalTrans.

    If this is the case then the class AssetDepBookProposalAcquisition is invoked on button Proposals -> Acquistion proposal.

    You can include your code in the method createTrans of class AssetDepBookJournal and default reasoncode through the relation

    AssetDepBookTrans.ReasonRefRecId == ReasonTableRef.RecId

    Thanks,

    Chaitanya Golla

    Hi Wekey,

    When you create and post an acquisition proposal, AX uses the posting type 'acquisition'. What is the value added by this adjustment as you track the same information twice?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
